9-12-2016 Yosemite National Park, California

Today was a long driving day to Yosemite National Park, but we stopped at the Mission San Juan Bautista, founded in 1797, in the city of San Juan Bautista.

This bookcase holds the personal libraries of the padres who served the mission in its early years.  Some volumes date back to the early 1600’s.

A very large missal used by mission padres during Mass.

Our first glimpse of the Sierra Nevada foothills.
